My First Day On The Job What are you most excited about your internship and why? And at the same time, what are you most nervous about and why? Today was my first day at the office and it was really cool! Before coming here I was most excited about getting to learn more about part of the craft I'd like to get into in the future. I was (and still am) excited about this because it's essential to learn what I'm learning in some point in my life, I'm just glad it's now so that way I can practice and hone my skills. Towards the middle/end portion of the work day I got a crash course, first basic then advanced, on how to work the equipment. Mainly the camera options. That was a lot to take in on a first day but I'm glad it happened because the quicker I learn, the quicker things happen. Plus after the course I was able to play around with the camera and kinda figure out what I was being taught. That's when it really clicked for me. So now I understand what they were saying about high vs. low aperture and high vs. low shutter speed. What I was nervous about before arriving was meeting the new co-workers. During the site visit I only saw them, but today I was introduced and also took part in the Daily Monday Meeting. Since I knew what to say that was a little less nerve wracking but meeting new people is always scary, even when I know the people are great .
